MEAH BADEAUX

Meah has danced all of her life, but it was at a very young age that she knew she wanted to pursue a career in dance! When graduating from Riverside Academy, she decided to stay close to her family and became a dance major at the University of Louisiana. Meah was a member of their nationally ranked Ragin’ Jazz dance team. She was also an American All-Star staff member and quickly learned that teaching dance was what she was truly meant to do. Meah taught at two prominent dance studios in Lafayette during that time. After college, she traveled the country teaching technique and choreography to many different teams in many different states. She then began coaching dance teams in the River Parishes. Meah is well known for her cleaning and precision of dances and was sought out by many because of this! She took a break from teaching when starting her family. Meah’s daughter began dancing competitively, and she chose to enjoy that time being solely her Mom. Their journey led them to TTP. Meah is  so excited to share her talent, knowledge, and love for dance with her students!

MADISON LOMBARD

Madison always had a love for music, movement, and the art of dance.  Even at an early age, Madison would listen to music, and she would start to dance as if she couldn’t help it.  She began gymnastics at the age of 3.5. She got the movement and the music from gymnastics, but there was something missing.  At the age of 6, after taking gym for 2.5 years, she decided to try dancing. Madison immediately knew that she found a new love.

When Madison was 9 years old, To The Pointe started a completion team. At the age of 12, Madison attended JUMP dance convention and received a class scholarship to attend a week-long workshop in Long Beach, California called “Dancerpalooza.”  While in Long Beach, Madison took classes and learned from some of the best choreographers in the industry. The following year, after being a JUMP VIP runner-up, Madison along with two others traveled all the way to Las Vegas, Nevada to compete for “Best Dancer.”  This particular convention/nationals hosted some of the best dancers in the dance world. It was an amazing experience to see them perform and see just how hard they really do train.

After an audition process she became a Streetz Company Assistant.  She traveled throughout the southern United States, assisted choreographers, met so many wonderful people and experienced things that she never thought possible.  She assisted for four consecutive years. At nationals, the assistants are allowed to compete for “Dancer of the Year.” Over the summer of 2018, Madison was in the Top 20 for the “Dancer of the Year” competition.

Over the years, Madison has won several scholarship/awards including, class scholarships, studio scholarships, and elite scholarships. The two accomplishments that are the most special to her are being in the Top 20 for Dancer of the Year and receiving “The Rock Star Award” from Lex Ishimoto while attending JUMP Dance Convention/Competition. Madison decided at one of the competitions that she was going to compete in the Improv Category.  After doing well and showing her teachers what she was capable of, she was given the opportunity to self-choreograph her own solo.  After having this opportunity, not only did it open different doors in the dance world, but she also found a new love that encompasses everything that she truly loves: music, movement, different beats and so much more.

Her solos have won several special awards such as, Idol Soloist, Outstanding in Dance Judge’s Award, Judge’s Contemporary Award, Beautiful Movement Quality Judge’s Award, and All-Star Dance Award.

Not only has Madison choreographed her own solos but has also assisted in choreographing a duet, several competition dances, several recreational dances at TTP and was even given the opportunity to choreograph two group dances for the Lutcher High School.  Choreographing is something Madison as loved forward to for several years now and she looks forward to upcoming years and watching the growth and improvement of each of the kids here at TTP.
